they are either really really small and those are super duper crops... or you need a new lens/camera ;) (or just a longer lens)

Well done Dale, we fly into there all the time. I have taken a few from the street of them flying over the parking lot and waiting for the cops to arrive.
I have taken a few from Jimsair as well. You can get some good ones from the Air & Space Museum parking lot as well. Thanks for sharing them.

Have they improved things at that airport? Used to be one of the most dangerous ones to fly into in the U.S.

I tried the museum's lot too but the wife was in a rush and tired from all the walking so I was saving that spot for later, thanks. D.

Actually , Lindberg field is one of the safest airports to fly into in the world, just because it looks scarey, but it keeps the aircrews on their toes so to speak, and they shut down at night, no take off past 10 pm and no landings past 12 midnight unless it is an emergency. D.

Not really dangerous as mentioned above. However all those parking structures and buildings are still there when on approach.

Hi Dale,

So you're over here too... You know the reason why thy shut down Lindbergh Field at night don't you? It's not for safety reasons but because all the rich people that live in Point Loma bitched about the noise...

I once had a conversation with a Marine Colonel aviator who surmised that the proposed airport at Miramar will never happen. He said the FAA would never sanction another curfew airport and that given the amount of compaining about the Marine helicopters from the residents surrounding the base it was unlikely the airport would ever be moved there...
