I love these pictures, man...Sexy subject matter, and though it was said before, the first thing that crossed my mind when I saw number 1 was "that reddish tone is perfect for this!"
You've really done a fine job with these! What a pretty vintage beast - as much as I see the merits of digital photography, that thing makes me *sigh*. Lol.

I like the blurring of the edges and you chose a nice angle for it. What more can I say, these are excellent!

Quite new to all this.
Gear: Point and Shoot Panasonic DMC-LZ5. Tiny little No Name Tripod. Photoshop CS2.
Image Editing is just fine.

as soon as i started scrolling, i said "WOW!"

i really like the subject and the way you've captured it, but i especially like the toning of the black and white. i also like the colors in #2...a lot! care to share any postprocessing recipes?

again, phenomenal stuff....i'd put just about any one of these on my wall (#5 is the only exception but only because it doesn't have the punch for me that the others do.)

Well I set it up with my three lights. One backlight and two forming a 90 deg. angle towards the camera. I had to move them in close to eliminate all the shadows. A few were over exposed so I adjusted the levels a bit for the correct exposure. Then I increased the saturation just a tad. Did a light USM filter and wabang thats it.

I like the first and last the most.

But... See when I think vintage I cannot depict a high key environment, I envision low key with warm light, sharp details and a deep DOF.

So even though I like the photographs, they feel out of place to me.

I love these pictures. The lighting is spot on IMO. The only thing I would change is having the whole lens in the frame in 3,4, and 6. Other than that - they are amazing.
