hey guys
ive done a quick search but havnt found anything
im looking for a cheep wireless set up to fire a single 580ex speedlight
dont wanna spend mega bucks maby 100 at the very most but cheeper is better

gilp Member 120 posts Joined Jan 2007 Location: Montreak More info | Jan 09, 2007 07:45 | #2 The prob with the 580ex (as opposed to the Nikon SB800) is that it does NOT have a sync imput...which totally sucks... so you need to buy yourself an extrenal hotshoe mount (like the ones for lighting tripods) on top of what ever wireless system you buy, you'll then place the receiver and a small syncord from the receiver to the hotshoe mount. So yes, that thing you wanna use will work... you just need to go to a proshop and ask for a external hotshoe mount, they cost about 25% us and some of the (the one you need) have a sync connector on the side...it will trigger your flash.
