I have outgrown my Lowepro Slingshot 200AW and I am lookking for something a little larger.

I have the following gear:

EF 70-200mm F/4L
EF 28-135mm IS
EF 50mm 1.8
Sigma 24-70mm 2.8
430ex Flash
Tripod

Any suggestions. I would like to spend around $100.00.

Mike

Yes and no...I would like to carry the Sigma 24-70 and the Canon 70-200 along with the tripod.

I have the Lowe Pro Micro Trek 200 that can hold my 20D+grip with 70-200 attached and the 24-70 and a 50/1.4 and either a Tokina 12-24 or flash with room for the 85/1.8.

It's backpack so you have to remove it to take out the gears.

There's a loop on the bottom that you can tight the tripod to. I haven't used it to carry the tripod so can't comment how it works but if I prefer to carry the tripod vertically.

How about the Lowepro SlingShot 300 AW (external link) You can carry your camera w/ the 70-200 attached and the rest of your gear.

I don't think the Lowepro Microtrekker will move you in the right direction.

I first purchased the Minitrekker (which is bigger than the Microtrekker) and do like it but found it too big for daily use, so I bought the Slingshot 200AW which I love for daily use. When I need more room I use the Minitrekker.

My two cents (Canadian or 1.5 cents US...)

Do you like this bag? I'm trying to decide between this bag and a backpack type bag.

Had the 200AW, just purchased the ef100-400mm lens, needed a bigger bag. Ordered the 300 AW. It is a very accomodating Sling. I would recommend this bag to anyone who has had the 200AW.

:D

That's a rather big bag, isn't it?

I have the aforementioned Canon bag and right now I have in it these:

30D with 28-105 f/3.5-4.5
10-20 f/4-5.6
17-40 f/4L
100-300 f/4 with 1.4x TC on it
30mm f/1.4
85mm f/1.8

There's a bit of room left in it, and my DG-500 flash fits with the removal of any one of the lenses. The bag's build is not the greatest, but it's not too bad.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

i have the canon backpack. it is extremely tight with a xt and grip. I tried to fit the xt/grip with my sigma 70-200. tokina 12-24,50mm and flash. I could not zip up the bag. I can barely zip it up when the camera is in it period. It is not meant for a camera with grip.

I too need something like the slingshot 300aw.

The 300AW isn't that big of a bag, i did not want a big bag on shoulders. The 300AW accomadates large lenses, plus small ones. I do not want to load it up with too much equipment. You can keep it light, and still have everything you need. On the same token, you can load that baby up with everything you own and wish you had a smaller bag. I think the biggness starts with you, how much you want to carry.

i have the 100AW and it keeps me honest from bringing everything along. I carry my CF tripod separately.
