Hey Zacker you can hang one on my fridge mate , you did a couple of good jobs early doors :) before you went into retirement , get painting :)

Nice one Nikolay , looks like Brad did it , goes towards what I was saying , you were nearly there before you got to see Brads way , makes a lot of difference and it shows , I like that you have changed things to make it your own , if anything and its very miner , I find the bright spot on the top right floor just a little too bright it wants to take my eye to that area , I would just back it off a smidge lower than her face values .

Hi,

Have read all the posts in this thread and decided to try and learn technique. I do not have the DVD's and only have Elements 5 and a mouse. Learnt a base technique on another site that has really helped.

Anyway....here's my first post. Hope you like it.

I don't agree. I think it is attractive. It is your art for cying out loud. Nothing about it is not nice to look at. Methodology does not matter, just. . . . . . is it pleasing to see.

Some great looking paintings here, great work.

Do you set the size of your image before you start painting as Brad suggests in the tutorial, or do you re size after your finished. Can you just re crop the picture to the desired print size when you've finished painting.
I ask because my PC is small on Ram <1GB and if i try to set the image size to start with my PC has a heart attack and says NO WAY.
I Like to print out at 20 x 24.
what do you do........

I've watching this post with interest as I have www.retouchpro.com/ (external link) on my speed dial. I'm a hobbiest with absolutly, positively zero creative talent. That's why I love Corel's PainterX and their cloning technique. It makes it a lot easier to maintain the detail that is so important in landscape work. But, what can I say, if it sells, do it.
