Looks like you did some PP on the first photo's face in a noticeable way, as the skin tone appears quite different from the face to the rest of her skin tone neck down. You don't see that with the second portrait.

I think the shots are nice, but the pp is overdone on the first shot (even the second time that you posted it), her skin looks too much like plastic. I think making it more natural looking would benefit the shot greatly.

yeah it does look over done, but i did the same exact thing for both pictures, soften the skin just a tad. but it looks like i did it a ton when i post it on here for some reason. it looks fine in photoshop.

Pesonally, I think that if I was going to do a lot of shots for the yearbook I would use a real backdrop and do no photoshop to the subject. The photo is supposed to capture that person and the features they have at that time of his or her life.

Maybe muslin or something that has color break. The work is great, lighting and pose or aweome. The backdrop just seems to take away. Thats just me, you know what they say about opinions

no your right, it doesnt look real now that i look at the big pictures. The reason i took these is because my mom couldnt afford to get them done my a pro. the ones that they took at the beginning of the year, they hated and so they wanted me to give them a try. we set up a sheet in my living room and i started taking some pictures, and they really like some of them and so did my mom. i have only had my XT for abour 4 months so i am still learning about everything!! but i appriciate your feedback.

Honestly... I DO NOT like the smoothing of skin... I am sure they are beautiful as is. Show their true beauty. The BG is not working.... Looks photoshoped in. Post an original.
