Hi all, I have a friend who get a Canon Powershot SD700 last December, so she start took pics, but this is kind of weird, some pics came with little orbs on it, even with pictures taking at day light. I told her that maybe the problems is dust on the sensor or the lens, but the camera is brand new and she is very carefull with her stuff, so I wonder if you guys know how to fix this, do she needs to change settings on the camera? or maybe the camera is defective from manufacturer? I put some examples of this pics.

Thanks!

This feature is discussed in several threads on this forum.
The on camera flash is illuminating dust particles in the air which are too close to be in focus.
There is nothing wrong with your camera, you do not have a faulty sensor. You do not have a faulty flash. You do not have dust in your camera or on your lens.
This is the dust equivalent of red-eye. If you used an accessory flash on a bracket like SLRs do or avoid using the flash altogether you will not have this 'problem'.

Max
There's no such thing as a bad photo, just the wrong audience.
EQUIPMENT: Canon Powershot S3 IS, 2x Transcend 2GB x150 SD, 2x 4GB Class 4 Dane-Elec SDHC, LensMate 52mm Adapter Tube and lots of stuff to hang on it.
A couple of flashes and a couple of strobes. My other camera is a Sony DSC-P200.

Yup - dust in the air. The bigger the circle it makes the closer it was to you.
