Your rebate muct be postmarked no later then March 22 and received no later than April 5.

Sending mine in tomorrow. Everything is photocopied and ready to roll. I'll probably use the scotch tape trick as well - thanks for that tip overclock

I just got a postcard from Canon yesterday, the day after getting my check, mind.

"Your submission is in error, due to missing the UPC's."

Yeah, right. The second time it went through. That was a copy of my UPC's. Someone stole the real set. There's no other explanation.

The purchase period has expired. If you made a purchase during the rebate period then now is your last chance to send in for your rebates.

My rebate arrived sometime over the last 2 weeks while I was away on vacation. Took 6-8 weeks in total. I was worried because although I made copies of everything and taped the UPC codes to the submission, I just sent it ordinary mail, without delivery confirmation.

The rebate was supposed to be $320 and the check was for $310, but given some of the horror stories on this thread, I'm not complaining.

I can feel a 50 f/1.4 coming on.

Not morons... crooks. For every denied rebate, they get to keep the money. When dealing with tens of millions of dollars, even 5% adds up big time. It is YA that does it, or their crooks employees who steal the info and submit it for themselves. Figure it out. How can they make money giving a $300 rebate when it costs them an extra $40 in overhead costs to handle the rebates? They save more money giving a $300 rebate than if they just discounted the product to $200 to begin with. Common sense says rebates are not in the consumers best interest. I hope Canon got the word, but since it saves them money, or makes them money, they still don't have enough incentive to be honest with their customers.

Got my check today! Mailed it in on January 20th. YA said Warranty card was missing. Phone call to Canon. Expidited, resolved and mailed on March 8th.

Same story being told over and over. Having to call Canon and all of a sudden they "find: the missing documentation. Absured.

Crap...I just sent in my second set of submissions, but this time I forgot to pre-register (not that it helped the first time). Did anyone receive their checks problem free WITHOUT pre-registering?
