Yes, call in. I found out from their website that I was missing a warranty card from my submission. I had all 4 warranty cards copied onto one sheet so there's no way that a card can be missing. I called them and after several minutes the nice lady corrected the mistake. I saved myself several more weeks of waiting to correct the non-compliance.

This has happened before where there was a mistake in the processing. I'm led to believe that the rebate processors are a bunch of monkeys or morons...or both!

How long does it take for the website to be updated with my info?
I sent mine in Monday LAST WEEK, certified with return receipt...never got the return receipt back. I'm hoping USPS is just taking a while.

I went to the website and my information cannot be found yet.

I've got $930 in rebates...it would be a shame if I didn't get my money!

The registration website it's so-so. I register in january and nothing appear when I look in my file. I call 2 time at the rebate company, the first time 21 days after my registration they told me the check must be send the 9 march. Yesterday as I have receive nothing I call, they comfirm me they send the check the 12 march at the amount I'm suppose to receive ( 370.00). So hope it's not a fake.

I would recommend getting the copies of the stuff you sent in and preregistering online, that way at least your name is in the system, and you have a way to get to the status page...

I had the same problem. I should have gotten $300 (30d and 70-200IS) but instead only got $100. I received a post card claiming I hadn't submitted the warraty card on the 70-200 IS. I knew damn well that I had and called them. The lady on the phone told me that she can see my warranty card, but they have an automated mail opener and scanner, which couldn't read my card, so that's why it was rejected. She processed my check right then, and claimed I would have it in 10 days. That was 11 days ago :)

Thank you,

Chad McCan

Interesting to hear these stories from the US. I registered for a £100 rebate from Canon Europe which showed no signs of doing anything until I sent a couple of emails. I was concerned that time was ticking and the terms of the rebate meant I had to send the barcode from the box of my 30D to claim so wouldn't have the required proofs of purchase if I'd needed to resubmit.
In the end a guy from Canon Customer service took it on and, give him some credit, after a couple of weeks I got my cheque.
The official line was that they had received a substantial number of claims (the point of the promotions surely) but I'm still wondering what would have happened if I hadn't chased it up.

Most large corporations farm out rebate stuff to a third party. These third party companies are paid in what rebates they can screw people out of!

I resubmitted and got my check in less than a month. The original never took. They said I didn't have the UPC's and of course, they were attached to the rebate form. Yeah, they didn't get my UPC's. So, I sent them a copy of everything again. The second time took. I deposited the check last week.

I just got off the phone with them because I called a few weeks ago and they said they would call back, but it never happened. Now they said they'll call within 24-48 business hours (again)...
I also called another rebate company regarding a rebate I submmitted 4 and a half months ago... When I last called they told me to wait 12 weeks after the mail submission period ended, and now I had to listen to a machine that kept telling me every minute what my position in the queue was. After about 7 minutes I was up to position 2, then the call was dropped. Called them again and was on the line for 10 minutes and got up to position 1, and then it switched to a machine that said "Rebate Services is not available." Then it hung up on me. I think I'll go file some complaints with the BBB and FTC now...

My Tamron rebate came in two weeks after submitting. As for my Canon rebate, I sent it in on January and still haven't seen a check. A notice in the mail came in and said UPC's not received. Called Canon and they said expect a check in four weeks. My online registration only had me at the first phase. I hope I don't have to call them again.

I've sent in my share of rebate forms and have NEVER had one fail.....until now. :(

My total rebate was for $120, but the website only shows it for $50, but there's an "error" indicating that I didn't send the warranty card. Obviously, I know this to be incorrect and I will be contacting them to inform them of this.

After reading all of the horror stories around the Canon rebate fiascos, I'm not at all surprised by this news...

My rebate took longer than expected, but Canon came through. I didn't follow up with them, but received periodic emails on its status.

When I bought my 5D, I got my rebate check in 3 weeks (from date of mailing). I wasn't disappointed at all.
