How To Setup "Gear List" link

umm....how do I set up a 'gear list' link?

Post your gear list to this thread. Once you've done that, click on the number at the far right in the grey bar at the top of your post in that thread. This will load it into a window/tab by itself. The url now in your browser's address bar is the link you want to put in your signature.

Nicely done, Lonnie. I started to answer this myself a little while ago, and ended up confusing myself so badly I had to take a timeout for a cup of coffee. When I came back, you had answered it. Thanks.

I did everything that thomascanty said, but how do I get it to show me the word "Gear list", mine just shows the whole URL

Type the words "Gear List" into your sig and highlight them. Click the little world button. A window will pop up that you can put the link into. Probem solved.

Well done. That works for all links, incidentally. It looks so much neater than posting the entire address.

For future readers of this thread that may come along,
teh directions to do this are posted in the frist post of the gear list thread.

ie:
1. click on ANYONES "gear list" link in there signatures..

2. When the new window with their gear list post comes up, click on the thread title in the upper right hand border of the post, this will show the whole thread as opposed to the one post.

3. go to the first page of that same thread that there list is in, and there are the directions.
