Sandisc Ultra 111 4gb write speed

I have the mentioned card, great card but I find it writes slow when shooting night shots. A 10sec exposure takes probably about the same time to write, tho I havent timed it. Bright light shots get written almost instantly.

I remember reading somewhere that the more detail the image the more information neeeds to be recorded. I presume the longer the exposure the longer the write speed? Im just wondering if everyone else experiences the sae thing, or if I have a dud?

I bought it from expansys.com, who seem to be pretty reputable. I checked it with info I found online and it seems a genuine copy, not a fake.

The exposure doesn't matter with write times. What you are experiencing is the long exposure noise reduction, which is a custom setting, apparently you have it set to on.

The only time the camera is accessing the card is when the cf card light is lit.
