I assume you don't feel like you are scaring your body? I mean it is so permanent lol

Your right I will never understand why people do it, but it is your own body :D

I have a lot of uglier scars on my body from motorcycle crashes, so a few Tats dress up the joint a bit.

You assume right, ya think I would do it if it were ugly? Some people are afraid of things that are 'permanent', this guy isnt so.

Like I stated before, sometimes the tattoo has a deeper meaning than just ink in skin.

A mother gets a tattoo of her baby who unfortunately died somehow, body ink is a better way of remembering than having it printed on the best paper money can buy, wouldnt u think? i know i do. paper can tear, it can get soaked and disolve, a tatoo is less likely to be destroyed than paper.

i have to ask but why do you get them? It seems to permanent! I mean I can see a little one, but some are whole body worth!

I have always wondered why people do that to their bodies?

Thanks

I donno after a few beers and being in Hong Kong and all, well, seamed like a really good idea at the time...
I mean everyone in the squadron got one even the CO.

I think Neda's tat is way cool, but it has to be a lifestyle thing, what does she do? It's fine if the whole squadron gets one and you're part of that team - it goes with the lifestyle. Problem comes you you leave and land a job as an insurance salesman; suddenly that spiderweb on your neck can affect commission....
If you commit to a visible tattoo do you commit to a lifestyle?

here mines. I have another but no good pics of it. its my scorpio sign on my left side (rib area). This one I will explain, I like telling the meaning of it all.

Alpha, or beginning (fitting with the green color) because its the color of the green band that says "donate life, done vida" because my dad got a kidney transplant back in April.

Omega= End, as well fitting with the yellow, because a 8 days before my dad got his transplant my grandma died from cancer.

And then the Romans verse is just a favorite of mine.
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

And the Blue outline to that was for a suicide awareness band that we have (due to some family members that have committed it)

and then a quick fun one

It all means something to the person with the tattoo. All of mine mean something to me and I really dont care if anyone else understands ;-)a. I have more but this is the only shot I got of one of mine. TheKid24 is totally right about them being addicting as I got my first one when i was 17 (I'm 35 now) and have gotten more since then. I am adding more art to my back shortly...

Wow, theKid24, your tattoo is amazing, I love it. Nothing like a nice body out there with a little ink on it, huh? How far over onto the shoulder/chest does it go? You wouldn't want to cover everything up. Its awesome though, and definitely original...never seen one like it before. I only have a small one on my hip, but I play on getting another one, with some script this time, in the words "And these three remain, Love, Faith and Hope..."

Yeah, I have gear too....
