Often a part of the game thats frowned upon but always challenging to photograph and always provide emotional pics. C&C as you feel necessary all feedback welcome

Some good shots there, #1's a winner for me though.

It looks like u have had a fight with the copyright stamp, judging by these photos. I understand you ar protecting your work, but with some shots the copyright appears smaller with less opactiy to it, any chance you could do it to them all ?

The copyright is a pain but it has to be there, I changed the copyright bands opacity, but its simply not strong enough for the purpose. I hate it but the rules are the rules in this sport in the UK

The shots were taken Canon 1DmkII with a fixed L series Canon 300mm f2.8 with IS

I shoot from between the team benches with no plexi glass. Im pretty lucky we have excellent lighting here in Nottingham.

Your hockey pictures are among my favourite. These are no exception.
Where do you position yourself usually? Or are you all over the place?

Yes - excellent photos. Could you describe how you set your exposure?

Good pics Dave as usual.

Dave is understating when he says he has quite good light, it's the best light in a rink in the UK by a margin.

I see Ryan has been a busy boy including a Tete a Tete with our Rumun.

Have to agree with Dave on the watermarking, if you don't in the UK you are likely to see a supporter lining up for an autograph with their own printed copy and the club or you making no money.

Thanks guys, exposure is a "feel" thing for me, whatever the light, get it fast enough to stand a chance of stopping the action, again depending on the type of light and cast I push it a stop, to compensate for the ice maybe a little more depending on circumstances. There are no set rules in hockey ....one team in Black loose half a stop, through glass lose a whole stop etc.
