Hi!

I am lucky to have great seats for an upcoming pro hockey game. I have the 20D, and unfortunately I am unable (per arena rules) to bring a lens greater than 3 1/2" long. Currently the only lenses I have that fit this description are the kit lens (18 - 55?) and my 50mm 1.8 lens.

Should I just tinker w/ the kit lens, or would purchasing an 85mm or 100mm prime be a big help? (I am just thinking having any sort of zoom would be nice, in case action is right in front of me...I will be somewhere b/t blue line & goal.) I was thinking of the primes mainly for the speed.

Thanks in advance & off to keep reading the other threads w/ advice!

ETA: mods, if this belongs in another forum, please move. I realized this is a photo sharing thread! Sorry!

I think I am leaning towards this lens...need to make up my mind soon though if I want to get it in time for the game.
