'lo out there,

first I have to point out that I'm quite new to photography, so please don't be too hard on me ;)

To me it seems that there is a usual aperture scale like 2 / 2,8 / 4 / 5,6 / 8 and so on.
With these values the amount of incoming light is halved or doubled (depends if you're going up or down the scale).

So what about the additional values the G1 offers its operator? What's the proportion/ratio of the amount of incoming light concerning the previous/next value at those?

Thanx & bye,

CaBleman

'lo,

the official answer from Canon Germany:

the additional values are 1/3rds, the amount of light raised/reduced is 26% per step.

Case closed.
