Beach Camera offer 2 each Lexar Professional 4GB 133X CompactFlash Memory Cards to me for $169 only.

Is this good deal or too much $?

I am not familiar with Memory Cards for my new ( coming soon ) 5D and 1DmIIN

What is kind of best Memory Cards for 5D and 1DmIIN ?? Also, I am looking to buy plenty of 4GB Memory Cards for lower price and good quality.

I plan to buy 4GB Memory Cards through one of Online retailers tomorrow.

Let me know. thanks!

Not sure about the price you got. See in the forum market watch. Members post good deals on memory cards among other things.

Personally I prefer SanDisk Extreme cards. I also have 5D and 1D MK II N.

I would say buy the fastests cards from any of the major brands (Lexar, Kingston, SanDisk) you can afford.

I prefer to use Sandish 2gb Extreme3. Theses are fast enough for the 1D2N in burst mode and are very reliable. I don't like going higher than 2GB just incase of card failure, lots more images lost. Not sure of the price issue.

I didn't really care which card I bought before joining the forum. I read that some new ones are faster and some are more reliable than others, but not until I started shooting more than 200 shots or more at events did the speed really made a difference. I have 2 4GB Extreme III's (one from Dante and Thanks), which I use exclusively on my 5D. Even with the 4GB, the transfer is fast, "WOW" fast and only takes 220-230 RAW + small JPEG on one card. That's painful if you only have 1 GB cards. I have 3 2 GB Ultra II's for my 20D, which is plenty, and 4 1 GB Ultra II's just in case. For the 5D, you really need at least 2 GB and the II's or III's or 133 speeds are by far the best. None of my cards have failed me (knock on wood), so I trust the Sandisk company for that. The speed of the capture is great, also speed to the computer for transfer is even faster with a good reader. Can't go wrong with the newer, faster Sandisks.

Yep I agree Suzy. I fill up my 4gb extreme III first and then use ultra IIs from there. Even the ultra IIs dont take too long to download or write to.

I use SanDisk too, and 4 GB Extreme IIIs for the 5D. My Ultra II 2 GB cards are relegated to the 20D. As Extreme IV prices come down, I'll start buying them.

Jon, I may not get to buy many IV's as I can't believe it can download faster than the III's, but you never know. :)

I use Sandisk Ultra II's and Sandisk Extreme III's never any trouble.
Kingston make real good computer memory so I'd probably trust them also.
