... and the proud papa is so stoked! :D

Delivered 10:45 am. 1 lb 8 1/2 oz and 6 in long (with hood)

Her older brother took this picture...

So far I love everything about her. She makes this cute little "chuck, chuck, chuck" sound and is a joy to hold.

I've been preparing my little rebel for this moment, but he still thinks he's going to be adopted out. I've told him a hundred times that it's not gonna happen.

Anyway, sorry if I'm a little sentimental. Thanks for sharing this sappy moment. ;)

My XT got a new sibling today, too. Also a 30D.

However, no jealousy among the XT. It knows it ain't going anywhere and that it's still the older bro and has a sibling to share the camera bag with instead of just all the lenses. :D

Body: 7D

Congratulations! I guess everyone who procrastinated was getting in on the rebates... not knowing they would be extended.

I got the EF 50 f/1.4 with it to double the cash back. It's a SWEET lens and seems to be sharp as all getout with perfect focus.

Forgive the interruption of the thread, but what exactly are these rebates that everyone is speaking of lately? I feel like a dufus for potentially missing out on something awesome.

Family is getting bigger. Little sister seems very competitive. Which will get the most attention now?

I learned a new word today .

I originally thought that anthropopathism was a misspelling. My bad - I should never underestimate the intellegence of the POTN crowd.

I shot all weekend just to get used to the new way of setting ISO, aperture and FEC. It's sure a LOT faster under pressure than the XT. In addition, the AF on the 30D gives new life to my 85 f/1.8 wide open and the 50 1.4 is simply awesome.

As much as it pains me to say it, the XT will probably be an event backup body.
