Again looking for some C&C on this recent shoot I took on the BMW ALPINA D3 touring...

I'm trying to improve my shooting and post editing skills.. and am very aware that i'm only scratching the surface...

I really like number 3, just wish that we were looking at the front end of the car rather than the rear. Might wanna rotate the photo ccw just a tad.

Nice group of shots but confusing messages.

I like the depth of colours and the post processing.

#1 I might crop in tighter to the wheel, nice idea though.

#2 Interesting buildings that someone has parked a car in the way of. I afraid I don't like the converging verticals. Also, while I might be being old fashioned here, I don't think parking a product from a company known to have assisted the German war machine in front of a war memorial shows much respect or sensitivity.

#4 Could have cropped tighter as there is nothing to see but the scene isn't bleak enough to make the bleak statement. There is a lot of noise on the side of the car as well

You're right about the war memorial and the German car (a little hindsight would have been beneficial) - It was something that we only realised when I was looking at the pics after the shoot.

The only saving grace is that this is an ALPINA not a BMW and as such they are a separate manufacturer and not linked to the company who assisted in the warmachine of the 2nd world war. Infact the beginnings of the ALPINA factory was as a typewriter manufacturer.

I think the third shot is stunning. Could it be improved though? Perhaps including the whole structure (height) would make the composition more solid. I think you're off to a solid start.
