That's certainly a thought Brandon - but the 5D does a lot, and I'm sure there will be more deals to be had.... especially with single/double rebates. Don't rule it out ;) .

Amazing.. I'll definitely be picking up whatever replaces the 5D down the line.

Well that's true.. I'm saving for a wedding, honeymoon and a new house right now, so by the time I get the money to pick up a new body, I might find a great deal on a 5D ;)

Absolutely! I would like to have waited for a successor too but the double rebates made this a no-brainer for me! Even with the rebates this was about all my finances could stand. I decided that even if I get to a point in the future where I just can't stand not having the next model up, I'll still keep this as a backup. They might be able to add some nice bells & whistles, but I just don't see how you could improve much on IQ like this.

Agreed Jeff - I was going to wait 'til Spring for a second body - tired of packing MF film gear as my wedding backup... but when the rebates came along with an really special Dell offer, I pulled the trigger and saved a pretty hefty load. - Stu

It's kind of future proofing. It's a larger color space than any monitor and most printers can handle. But who know what we'll have in the future.

.

I like your way of thinking
