Nice little tool. Im printing up one of the pics now. Would be nice if the tool would except higher quality files and not limit the file size to a meg. though.

it's actually my friends giant inkjet printer. I do all of their computer repair/upgrades/hook up new printers, etc... for them.
I'd love to own that printer, but at $30K, it's just a little on the high side for me. :)

ya. I printed a 30x40 print of my car already. I just haven't taken any other pictures that I want printed that large.
I do plan on getting a 4'x8' print of my car done and hang it in the garage. I'll have it printed on banner material so that it is a bit more durable.

Now thats the best, access to a giant inkjet and you don't need to take up a room at home to house the sucker. Very cool. I'm jealous.

I haven't tried the site named in the OP, but here's another I knew of (I'm not saying it's better). The Rasterbator (external link) :) . It's a downloadable app and offers some versatility for printing (overlaps, etc).

Zepher: that thing's huge. What's the width of the paper, 48 inches?

We've got 3 plotters similar to that at work. I'm one of the photoshop people so I quite often get co-workers along, asking in a hushed voice, for a photo of their kids or similar as a big ol' 40" plate.

I played with this a bit last year and though it was fun, the limit of 1 meg for the file size severely limited the quality of the print. The printing is all up to you and the quality of your printer as all that is delivered back is a .pdf file containing the images, so yes, you can print it on photo paper. As to photo quality, again the the file size kind of limited that.
