PP? Straight from the box, exposure plus 1/2-1 stop, (zoombrowser, freebie) a little rinse with Noiseware, (freebie) then resized to 3:4, hammered down to 800x600, (M O picture manager, freebie) and posted here. I'm nothing if not cheap. First one is 1600, f4 @ 1/320, the second is 1600 f4 @ 1/500. Both deliberately underexposed to give me a useful shutter speed.

If you can, once you have "hammered" down to 800 x 600 add some Unsharpen Mask to the image - you will find this will give them a little more "pop"

Is that in Photo Shop? Don't have it I'm afraid Paul. You had me a bit worried there, so I went back and pp'd it with the beta version of lightroom (freebie, can you see a pattern?)and exported a TIFF. That looked fine, but a bit big to post here! I really fall down on pp, and the llocal college courses are all packed, so you'll have to bear with me on this I'm afraid.

This rugby malarkey is tricky and shouldn't be underestimated.

#1 is the pick of the set for me. Wondering why you left the 1.4x extender on with the light fading so much? I'm guessing it wasn't possible to walk the line and follow the play a bit with the bare 300mm.

---- Gavin

Tricky and yesterday a complete pain in the butt!

And yes, you're spot on, I moved as much as I could, although the halfway line was about the limit without people grumbing rather a lot. With play as it was, it was better to leave the 1.4 on and let it do the additional legwork!

As I've said earlier in the post, wasn't the best day I've had of late!!
