What a difference the blue makes! I like this version a lot, in particular the two lighter areas in the top half - they are heart lifting.

I think I would remove the blue streak on the very bottom right though. It seems too uniform, too bright, out of place.

PS: have you submitted images for the book? You simply must.

Thank you all for your comments.

@Athena: glad the bright spots do work as I hoped. This is a different shot than the black one - same subject matter, different RAW source. But I kept it similar to make it easy, when viewed in a sequence, to get the idea of this being the same scene, but a different time and point on the journey. And about submitting... I have an awful hard time selecting two shots... shall I pick the ones I like best, or the ones I think people like best? They are definitely not the same. :D I'll try to post my selection before the deadline. Promised.

cheers

Really cool...but what is it? lol, nevertheless, looks great.

BTW looks like you used a 9 in the thread title instead an 8 in the image title :D

Yep, I shouldn't have started to use numbering in the pictures. I am still working on the sequence, and I am too lazy to adjust the scaled down shots... sorry for that.

What it is? Well, it's the reflection of a curtain on the glossy surface of a cabinet in my sleeping room. Turn it 90° CCW and it is easier to see.

cheers
