I need a bag that will fit my 10D with grip and 50mm lens, and if it could fit it with a the hood as well (though I doubt it) that would be great. I want it to be a small bag so I coud carry my camera around often. Does this exist?

Thanks

Carthik

Look at the Lowepro 65 and 70 AW bags. I have the 75 AW, but that's pretty big. It'll hold a DSLR and an attached 70-200 w/ hood reversed. the 65 and 70 sizes may be small enough for you.

Domke F-5XB is small; Adorama has a Tamron-branded one for around $40 US.

Thanks for all the help guys but I'm really looking for something ALOT more compact, I dont mind omitting the grip. I was at Nathan Phillips Square today with a crappy P&S and after coming home and browsing some pics I found sort of what I was looking for:

IMAGE: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/carthik/bag.jpg

the guy behind him had something very similar. Smaller the better, for now all i want it to fit is the 50mm f1.8 and the 10d body, and maybe the grip.

I have aTamrac 5315 Travel Zoom 5 (external link)which comes in Black, Grey and Blue. Quite compact but versatile. I'm not sure if it will handle the grip.
Even More compact is the Tamrac 5314 Travel Zoom 4.

Check out the Kata h-14 also. Feels/looks small, but packs a lot!

Maybe if you cropped in on the bag in the background and showed it a little larger? The Domke-Tamron's 10.5L x 4.5W x 6.5"D, smaller than most womens purses.

The Domke will fit my 20D with grip with 50 1.4 and hood on the side and maybe even a small flash. Here are the quick shots I just took for your viewing enjoyment.

Have to put it in this way, but not bad. The zipper closes easily. That bag is really great and doesn't look like a camera bag, more like a small day pack.

Oh, I forgot to mention, from your picture, the man had a holster bag, which screams "I have an expensive camera here!" I have a holster bag I used with my 10D with 28-135 IS all the time. It is a great bag, but only holds that combo and nothing more. The Domke looks smaller and is actually larger and the strap is more comfortable. If you are planning to carry your 10D with grip and 50 mm lens and a few more things, you will not regret spending the money for the Domke. There are some bags that are cool, like the Kata bags, but they are more expensive.

changed link to picture, Thanks for all the help guys, I am currently browsing BH's site for bags, that way I could look at them in accordance to my price range. I was thinking instead of one expensive compact bag, myabe I could get two cheap bags, one for when I just want to tag the camera around and one for the camera and all the gear with it. Will post my findings for feedback.

If you want an inexpensive bag that can hold just about everything, the Lowepro Nova bags are very nice. I have 6 bags and I'm looking at another one. Someone stop me!

As Suzy says, the Lowepro Novas are great bags.
The Lowepro Nova 1 looks to be about the size of the one in the photo, (May even be the one in the photo), 9"X 6.5" X8". Holds a lot of gear for the size, very well made and only about $30.00.
