To answer the questions:

1) 70-200 IS L f2.8 on a 20D

2) Manual mode, centre point focus spot, ISO 800, f2.8 wide open, either 1/400 or 500th for the action shots and whatever I could get dialled in quickly enough for the sportraits, typically around the 100 or 125th mark. PP afterwards in photoshop.

Question for all those shooters with the IS lens, I've been experimenting with the IS on and off, mixed results from my part so far so I'm struggling to draw a conclusion as to which is better. Certainly when I drop the shutter speed for the sportraits it's handy but for the action shots what do you folks use?

Scott --

Great shots.

I'm envious of the light at your arena.

Actually I just shot a game with IS off in the first period, on mode 1 second period and mode 2 third period. The second period shots were all blurred. The third period shots the same as the first period.
