Ah....a kindred spirit. GE engines certainly look more muscular than EMD. It's been that way since the dash-7s IMHO.

I'm no expert in the differences in locos...I just like to shoot them. I'd have to see a side by side comparison of a GE and EMD to see what you're referring to, Belmondo.

ge's are becomming to common and boring. Its nice here in NNJ to catch the leasers with the older sd40-2's. I prefer seeing emd's over newer ge's anyday.

lovely to see these Tom
the second shot looks like the train is saluting you.... leaning slightly sideways as it rounds the bend
the 'look' reminds me of the funny faced cars in the new film ( 'cars' I think it is)
I just saw trailers of it on the TV
(pun .......trailers)

the wind must be strong in that area
lots of natural energy:eek:

they should sell it in bags

Man I miss the wide open areas of the west to get shots. Now that I am out east, I really haven't pursued shooting trains much at all. These kind of make me miss it. I miss catching the old beat trains with GP/SD9s up front. I also miss the old grimmie grey, yellow is just too happy of a color for trains. Oh well. Nicely done though... wish I could be there with ya. Cheers.
