I'm using PSE 5 although i haven't had much experience with it yet, and this is my first attempt at anything remotely creative....... the most i've done before is process my raw files and a bit of sharpening etc....... anyway, other than the colour work all i did was sharpen the bouquet a little as it isn't particularly sharp...... comments please

Cheers

Steve

Steve you should ask the mods to move this to the Still Life, B&W and experimental section where you'll most likely get a better response.

Nice image and effect. The red seemed a bit too strong for my taste... Dennis

It is a great attempt and I like it except for the 'tone' of the red - seems strange - maybe a bit lighter?

Personally, I think the flowers (both the ones she's holding and the ones he's wearing) should be in color. His tie and whatever it is (handkerchief?) in his pocket don't seem to have any deep meaning and therefore shouldn't stand out.

However the fact that she's holding and he's wearing red flowers is pretty significant.

Just my thoughts!

hmmmm, i did boost the colour a bit before i desaturated it but, a few people have said to me the red is too strong and i showed it to the couple pictured, and they also made the same comment..... so i guess your all right!

I'll try it with the red a little darker, i personally liked it brighter......
