I second Lowepro 75AW, good bag, you can also add lens pouches to the slip lock system. I have the same gear as you and fit it in easily. With 580Ex in front pocket and 24-70 in the slip lock pouch on the side.

Domke's F2 will have plenty of room; F4AF or F6 should do well also. F3-X may also work; I'll try my 5D/70-200 IS in it tonight if I can find the time. You might also be able to use the F-802 Reporter's Satchel (and get a suitable insert; it doesn't include one - either 2 or 3 compartment ones will do fine) or the F-803 Camera Satchel (which would need a different insert than it ships with)

One more vote for the Lowepro Toploader 75AW, given that you want to carry a limited kit. I have one with a lenscase attached to one side, and a water bottle holder attached to the other - works great.

I recently wanted to carry more, so I have added a Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home to the inventory. It will hold the 1D2N with a long lens attached, in addition to more lenses, flash, etc. The Crumpler bags are well designed and manufactured.

Have Fun,

Rick

Toploader 75AW is where mine resides. Very happy with it...great padding...room for some cards and spare batteries...can even slip in a flash or a small prime if need be.

I also use a 75 for carrying just a 1D/70-200. It's fits perfectly and, if you get creative with the strap, can be worn as a sling for easy access.

Checked last night - the Domke F3 won't work. But the others will.
