I got a 10d along with a tamron f4.5/5 for xmas and this is the first pic i took .

Well, LittleBen, on my monitor it looks kinda dark and there is little detail in the foreground. I like the texture in the middle - the blue coming through in the sky.

Edit: Congratulations, btw, on the Christmas presents. Time to update your signature?

I think i was playing with my camera the day before and i had it on -3 exposour and forgot to change it and i was just getting used to the camara

Yeah - that -3 will bite ya - same as using a high ISO the night before and forgetting to reset it the next day (been there, done both of them) ;)
