Finally some snow in Michigan. Here's some snow shots of the shortline railroad Marquette Rail which runs from Grand Rapids north to Manistee MI.

Nice cold train pictures, and wow another Michigander. Sure is a strange Michigan winter, shot a muddy bicycle race Sunday and now finally cold and snow.

Another "Michigan Gray Day", but some of your shots are a bit low in contrast. How does this look on your monitor?

Hey BB, the sun is shining today...any chance you can get similar shots today? I really like that East Lake curve as seen in some of your other pictures (I watched your 9 loco video yesterday).

Number one is insteresting as the train appears NOT to be on any tracks. :D

That was my initial thought lol.

Very nice series. I like the colors of the rusted cars with all the snow. Very nice contrast.

Thanks texas, sure was cold and it was too bad the video camera didn't record the head end of the train out by County Line Rd.

Thanks Jack, yep I'm a good ole Michigan resident haha. Yeah some people don't like snow around here but Michigan should have snow this time of year.

Number 4 and 6 get my vote. Nice job.

The only bad part? Snow and dreary skies!

Thanks Karl

Yeah that looks a lot better, thanks PhotosGuy.

Yo J T the sun was shining up here too so I went out and caught GMTX 2635 running to Martin Marietta at Eastlake. That 9 unit train was something to see leaving Manistee. Those six NREX GP50's were MQT's first power and didn't work very well including a lot of wheel slip.

Thanks SoaringUSAEagle, the boxcars are rather colorful in the snow.
