card reader problems please help

whats up guys,
im new to the forums. my buddy used to use this forum and he told me about it so im gonna give it a try.


ok so heres the thing. i work at circuit city and i bought the lest expencive card reader that we had there its a dazzle 12 in 1 card reader( it was 4 bux).

so when i took it home i plugged it in and my usb drive and my computer recognized the reader but when i put the card in nothing happened. it didnt come with a software but i mean you doint need it for XP. i tried to run the wizzard but that didnt do anytign becuase it said i needed a software.


PLEASE HELP!!!

That's strange. Like you said, it shouldn't need a driver. However, I have heard of readers having firmware issues. I couldn't find anything on the Dazzle 12 in 1 though. I can't stand having issues with anything as basic as a reader and would suggest trying a different type. There are plenty of inexpensive ones out there.

Does the light on the reader illuminate when you plug it in and insert a CF card?
Have you tried a different card? (One of your buddies?)

Did you originally format the card with your camera, or on the PC?
