NJ Transits newest cars, Bombardier multilevel's. E/B beeing pushed by a ALP46.

Sweet...Those multi-levels are nice looking. That looks like the kind of place to get some great night shots of electrics in operation...with some good spark action on the cats.

Interesting shots, especially #1. I'm wondering how you get above the rails, but appear to be below the catenary.

Regardless, they're very well done.

I'm guessing telephoto and being on the outside of a curve...I really like the perspective.

correct. I was on the top level of the elizabeth station parking deck. had my sigma 70-200 with 2x on tripod and remote. I think i was at like 200mm with the first shot, 140 for the second. If I zoomed all the way to 400 I could see the station to the north, north elizabeth station. I plan on going back here for sure. Night shots, hmmmm, its not exactly the nicest neighborhood but i may try it.

Here in NJ we get to see alot of UP run thru power on some trains. I just wish it would be some of hte heritage units, mainly the katy, WP, MP. Those are my favorites.

Hey....I'm easily amused...I was so thrilled to see my first non-model coil car! I just a big kid when it comes to trains.

Thanks. There is a pedestrian overpass for students that goto the middle school on my left to get to the other part of town. Its this or the pedestrian tunnel a mile up the tracks. Its only good to get southbounds though. Would be nice if this was still 4 tracks like it was back when the good 'ol NYC plied the tracks.
