Nah 1.3x or I'd have one already :D

I would hope not. I'd be very upset :(

There's just no compromising for you FF lovers is there ;)

Thanks, Tina. Just let me know - I'll do the same if I decide to go ahead before hand.

Tina, the signature part I guess you could call it my logo, then on the other side of the card where I have the web address is my name. You reckon it would confuse people?

Hi All,

On the topic of new releases, if Canon are true to previous form the expect a new camera around Aug/Sept. They seem to run their cameras on a 18mth replacement schedule. So the 30D is due to be replaced this Sept. 5D was due in Feb/Mar and the failure to do this upset a lot of people. Get over it!!

Me, I'm more than happy with my 30D for now. I have no great desire to jump to full frame, although I reserve the right to change my mind whenever I want.:p

yeah... I wasn't sore... had no money in feb/mar to get one anyways ;D HAHHA... would look to see what there was in jan/feb next year (we get a nice bonus this year, so wondering whether I should bite the bullet with a 1DIII) and progress up the tree toward FF... bleh.. i think if I got a 1 series cam, I'd never want anything else? does that happen?

come on 5D2!!!!! :( be my wallet's saving grace :)

anyways... i'm off to sleep... had a crapper of day.... want an early night

have a good evening all.

mmm wouldn't say that Nick... see how things go... I'd just prefer FF... but like i said... if nothing in aug/sept, then i may go for a 1DIII then. :)

So the 30D is due to be replaced this Sept.

Right in time for my birthday :p

Except ill still be asking for a 30d or near new condition 20d. All i really need out of the next camera is a faster frame rate and better buffer, so they both have what i need

My B'day to in Sept. No new gear expected though.
what ever you do don't look at the back of a 30D, the larger screen will have you suckered in for sure.

1 series are nice and you'll never look back, unless you prefer the option of a lighter camera, but I think a 5D would be a nice companion for a III. Best of both worlds for the price of a 1Ds.

Night, Feng!

But the screen is just for checking histograms right ;) Bigger screen would be nice, but i can live with a smaller one. I mean i get along just fine with my film slr and the yashica and they dont even have an lcd

I think i was looking at that and ummming and ahhing over it, but decided that money would be better invested in a sigma 70-200 f2.8 or a canon version if i could hold out that long

I don't think any of you guys use it but IMatch (external link) has just release a major upgrade. Backup and upgrade time for me buy the looks of it. I didn't go in of the long series of Beta's and may even hold off for a month or so to make sure it's super stable.

IMatch is one thing I plan to talk about/demo 3rd June. See if I can get some converts.
