Hey just wondering if any one had seen these things floating around? I just picked one up yesterday.

Although up until Tuesday one of these in Brisbane would have been null and void.

you should get your hands on a 5D sam, it's so silent. I always thought my 30D was loud - and compared to the 5D it sounds like a bomb going off

Yay!!! the buff miester said he's shipped the goodies! :D!!! excited.

Where to go Monday! :| hrmm....

*imposter floats in*

They look really good.
I went for a Kata bag, after reading around online. It is SUCH a hassle to get on. That typically, by the time I've removed the lens from body, letting all the dust in, the rain has usually already passed by!

Those look perfect for what I'd be using them for! Where did you get yours?

One of my clients in Sydney did a bulk order from the states. I think it ended up costing $55 AUD after postage.

Hi Connor,
I've got a down market version ;) of this that I keep in my camera backpack. Bought it from http://www.fotosharp.com/ (external link), never used it in anger though.

Im up for some street photography. Given that i only have a kit lens, 50mm and a lensbaby at the moment.

I reckon meet at that stage thing in the queen street mall, walk over to south bank and then around to the story bridge. Catch the ferry across to eagle st and then make up the rest.

My original weekend plans have been canceled so I may be able to join you folks on Monday.:D:D

Trouble is I have started to commit myself to some volleyball shots Monday, so I'm a definite maybe.

Also, apparently there is 3 war ships in town this weekend as well. A small aircraft carrier and 2 others. I guess they would be out at fishermans island. There is a spot right across the river from there that is easily accessable

I had a stange thought while i was riding in a cab today, that i really would like to get a bunch of primes so if i wanted to i could just pack them in the bag and go street shooting.

What i would choose would be,

canon 28mm f2.8 or sigma 30mm f1.4
my 50mm f1.8
canon 85mm f1.8
and either the canon 100mm f2.8 macro or the sigma 105mm f2.8 macro

So tell me, am i crazy?

hehehe, I have very eclectic music tastes. Gotta pick up the new Powderfinger album soon. Been playing Eskimo Joe a bit lately. I've a 40G IRiver so I just dump it all on to there and play what ever suits my mood. One morning on the train it will be Meat Loaf, the next it'll be Fantasia.:rolleyes::shock:

Seriously though, that does sound like a good prime kit, and very much like mine. Although I can now add a 180 to the tail end.:p:p

Go the canon 24mm f2.8 - you will really appreaciate the extra couple of mil.

My brother basically just uses his 24mm and 50mm on his 300d now and loves it, he keeps one lens in his jacket pocket (he lives in Iceland) and the other on his camera.

When I get my 5d(x) I want to pick up some other primes probably the 85mm and something wider than the sigma 30mm that I have.

In terms of just cruising round taking photos I love the two primes I have and they are so versitile.
