It was great, he spoke to us for about an hour and a half about how he got into the industry and how it was a struggle for his first couple of years and just things like that. He also showed us slideshows of his Commercial, Portrait and Wedding Photography. Very inspirational :D .

On his website, in the architecture gallery, 2nd row 2nd from the right is where I get my hair cut :D

I like the first one better I think. Macro of leaves. Good for eyes after staring at the small EVF. A great spider shot .. ugly looking though ....

Thanks for sharing ....

Someone had flipped it into one of the auto modes and i wasnt expecting it to happen. Still pretty damn funny at the time though :)

Hi all,

looks like you all had a fun time the other day - I was productive of the long weekend despite being stricken with the Flu!

Please have a look at a couple of images I have posted from Lake Tekapo in NZ.
Cheers

Thats it, ive had enough of seeing all these amazing photos from new zealand. Time i went there to see it first hand. Now, who wants to buy spammy a return plane ticket and a nice wide angle lens to make the most of the landscape? ;)

400 posts since I read this thread last Thursday. My lord, we can yack. :p

Kinnon - I'll also offer my sympathies on getting a job at Coles. What's worse was I went from Coles (registers) to Woolies (produce)... anyone else think I might be a glutton for punishment?

Nick C. wrote in post #3333545 (external link)
Don't speak too soon. There's a reason the likes of KKR and Tesco pulled out of the bid for Coles ;)

I second that. :p

Justin - Word of advice: make sure you have another job lined up before you leave. I spent about six months unemployed whilst trying (admittedly on and off) to get another job. I ended up at Woolies 'cos I was starting to get desperate... lol

Spam - You're not the only Woolies person here. I work in Produce at the Stafford store. Where (and in what position) do you work? Also, 50mm is usually where my lens is at for street photography. My 3000N is a full-frame camera though, mind you.

Nice shot, David. I had a good laugh when I saw it. :) Same with Feng's. Everybody else's pics are pretty neat, too.

Greg - Are you a beanie person too? :D

I was down in Wollongong over the weekend for a miniature train meet at one of the clubs down that way. Had a blast, though it rained a lot mind you. I even managed to get to Ballina on the way down and coming back - though I was there for a total of half an hour so all I saw was a Hungry Jack's and the main road. Damn 50km/h towns and 40km/h roadworks... would have halved travel time if it was either 100 or 70 the whole way.

I was looking forward to a meet and I see that it was well attended - pity I couldn't come. I have my own recent scary person incident. I was at a local park the other week taking a picture of a gazebo and there was this guy playing golf. I was going to wait until the guy was out of my shot but he still threatened me when I was setting it up beforehand. I walked over to a seat and waited until he'd hit the ball down the other end of the park. There's a sign there saying golf is prohibited in the park - anyone else smell a guilty conscience?

Oh one quick question - how many replies per page do you have it set to? I'm on 25 per page (like deviantART) and I'm up to page 121. I've just read 15 pages of this, 7 emails, only God knows how many messages on deviantART... all after a 14-hour drive... oh my I'm buggered.
