10 second rule!

It's now actually the 30 second rule, some scientists did a big test on how many seconds you had.

this is true. its like that bullship (p for a t) show where they opened this restaraunt that only severed water.. and they got all the posh folks tasting the water as if it was wine thinking that they could taste differences between the different "lables" of water.

turns out it was straight outta the NY water supply :P
some red faces in there i tell ya!

Okay....ANNOUNCEMENT TIME! Brisbane Camera Group is holding an "Outdoor People Workshop" on Saturday August 25th at Fort Lytton National Park from 12.00 to 4.00 pm. We should have the park to ourselves.

There will be 15 models and heaps of experts on hand, to help out those in need of help, to photograph our 15 models. There is a chance that the Fort Lytton Society will provide some folks in period costume as well. We're trying to convince them to fire the main canon too...gotta work on that a bit more.

Cost will be $25 per photographer. It's open to all photographers. At this stage, we think that "extras" (non-photographers) who come along may have to pay the park entry fee of $4.50, but that will be clarified later. All photographers are welcome. Register your name with our co-ordinator by PM ing me and I'll give you his email address.

Ooooh ... at this stage I think I'm even in town that weekend!!
Hmmm, could this be my first real photography activity this year??

Um.... just a question.... which you can answer while I'm sleeping... but how much was, and where did you get your Gitzo Tripod and RRS ballhead etc?

I can't remember how much they were, sorry ... but the legs were from Adorama, and the head (and plates/etc) were direct from RRS. Bought them all new.

I will swap you my Sigma 30mm 1.4 (a good copy) for it, I will even throw in a hair curler.

Hmmmm, the hair curler is tempting me .... let me think about it ;)

I wish .. .well, I probably don't really - I doubt it'd be a fun lens to carry around.

A 300 f2.8L IS on the other hand .....

I would be a bidder as I want it but I think I need to improve my lenses on the wider end first.

A 5D to go with your 12-24 would help a lot there. :p
