Helen & Three, your watermarks are both the same (or very similar) is it a pre-made thingy or did you both create it from scratch? Reason I ask is it's very cool and I'd like to do something similar.

I have to admit.. i saw helens watermark and really liked it.. so i did a similar thing, but changed it to fit with my likings (i.e. one word instead of two + the two shades for first and last name).

i have a saved psd with the layers (just like helen said) that i drag onto the photos as i see fit. sometimes if the watermark text does not fit, ill revisit the colours i use.

Ive seen some of his stuff before, just cant remember where. The ones he did of the artist with the little tea cup thing were my favourite last time and they still are.

Yeah...what a great gallery and a great eye for photography. I recognise one of the people he has photographed. Greg, we might be photographing her ourselves pretty soon;)

Hi all, long time no post (ill improve on that). How are we all?
Going to sell my 300 f/4L IS soon since its lack of versatility is quite an issue with my motorsports stuff so before i go advertise it to the world i thought id post here just incase anyone here was looking at buying one?

Anyway as for my photography outings i was at Willowbanks last weekend for the V8's which was a successful weekend picture and potential career wise which was fantastic. Quite impressed with this one.

Went out to dinner with the extended family and some friends for my cousins 21st tonight. Shot nearly everything with the 50mm at 1.8 and pretty much everything is out of focus. This back focusing problem is really starting to annoy me.

Anyways, one shot that kind of turned out:

looks nice sam!

the back focusing is definitely annoying at times. i really like the 50mm in the right 'conditions' as it can take some excellent shots (like your fence/sign one).

Thanks

It only becomes a problem with the lens when i try to use anything wider than 2.8

Ah well, time for a 50mm 1.4 me thinks ;)

Weird..

I had it a bit on the 30D with the 50 f/1.4 but if you focus twice on One Shot mode, it sorts its life out normally... When I use the 85 f/1.2 on the 30D it doesn't do it at all. So I dunno if it's a wider than 2.8 issue. :|

Does focusing manually make any difference?
