Does focusing manually make any difference?

Honestly hadnt tried that. Will give it a go a bit later on.

Hey Paul, have you heard any more about the NZ course next year? Have they set dates or taking any booking yet?

A pretty model and funny caption. A great shot :D Paul. Is that really a sign hehhehe ... must be making lots of people smile who pass it by

Love it!

Actually I got the link from S3 forum and the caption this guy has written for each photo makes the picture is even more hilarious.

It is http://www.s3users.com (external link), but you may need to sign up for that to read the post. Here is the link for more pictures without the funny captions:

Hi all, long time no post (ill improve on that). How are we all?
Going to sell my 300 f/4L IS soon since its lack of versatility is quite an issue with my motorsports stuff so before i go advertise it to the world i thought id post here just incase anyone here was looking at buying one?

Anyway as for my photography outings i was at Willowbanks last weekend for the V8's which was a successful weekend picture and potential career wise which was fantastic. Quite impressed with this one.

Went out to dinner with the extended family and some friends for my cousins 21st tonight. Shot nearly everything with the 50mm at 1.8 and pretty much everything is out of focus. This back focusing problem is really starting to annoy me.

Anyways, one shot that kind of turned out:

Hi Justin, I'm considering going to Uni next year to do a BA in Photography, but I'm unsure if I'll get in (crappy OP), I've considered TAFE too.
Can you tell me what your impressions of the TAFE course have been?
I'm particularly interested in the practical aspects of the course as well as the level of equipment TAFE provide ie: studio lighting, dark room, large/medium format etc.

Any insider info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Well, back from another weekend in not-so-sunny Wagga Wagga. Miserable weather all weekend really, but still fun :)
Got a few more piccies of my little neice, I'll have to sort through and see if there's anything OK.

Looks like it's been a bit quiet up here??

I think Feng covered it quite nicely there.

Ok, hypothetical. Say i was going down to Indy at the gold coast, what lens would be more useful. Somthing in the 70-200 range or a sigma 100-300 f4?
