yeah Greg has kid duties.

Nick - you just need to have a nap in the arvo!

Greg couldn't ship his family overseas like you, Feng ;)

If I napped I'd be even less inclined to drag myself out there when I woke up.

LOL :D no it's not that... it's the cost... :D i can't justify it's price point... :D don't get me wrong... i'd love a 1DIII :D but the 5D @ 3Kish is much more affordable, and well... if I were to pick FF vs 1.3, I'd take FF.

now... what is ring fire? :D

Ooops, meant to say ring OF fire :)

I got my shots with using the ring fire. I find that's usually more effective if you've got smaller objects with a less distracting background.

So what exactly was the plan for nightscaping? Just shooting from the cliffs or are we going to go for a walk too?

combination fried rice? :D

I dunno :D I need serious tips when shooting nights... city scape should be ok... but portraits at night etc is difficult... well low light even :| so that'd be cool while walking along kangaroo point or something?

Awesome, saves having to lug the tripod on the bus back home at night.

But seriously, does anyone know of instructions to make a remote for the 20D? Preferably with parts i can buy from town tomorrow.

- i think you have to buy a real one or a ebay one - I know it is relatively simple to make one for the 300 series. speaking of that what ever happened to Mike???? - though most of you are too "young" to remember him. Paul????

Rob - I can give you a lift home if you want - you will be in the city anyway with uni won't you?

Just do a search here for the ones they were making for the 300/350/400's. Your main problem is going to be the plug into the camera, I don't think you'll be able to buy one at dicky smith.

same here - I changed after a while and it didn't seem to make a diff but then I thought mmmm switched it to idiot box mode and the focus was spot on with no hunting. I went through my CFns and didn't see anything that should have caused a problem.

He was about to start a big reno at his house IIRC and said that it would take up a lot of his time.
