Hey - a Brissie POTN - SPAM just told me about this one. And mentioned that you don't bite! SPAM, you were right about the Captain Bourke Park - we're right opposite that.

Welcome :)

But yeah, there was a decent number of us down at that park last week. Good times :D

Thanks SPAM.

And thanks for the warning! I'm sure it'll be fine.

Was it some sort of get together in the park last week? I probably would have seen you - we live in the city.

In one shot they did.

This opening at a certain speed... was this done by the camera or done by something external?

it looked like it was done by a mini-laptop, about the width of the d2x.. it was all mounted on tabletop on a tripod (that's what it looked like anyway)

Still getting my head around this forum thing - only heard about it a week ago. But have learned more in that time about all sorts re photography than any other medium.

Nice shots SPAM.
I got a couple of interesting ones this morning with the fog - pretty thick first thing, but gone by 8am. I'm still getting my head around the most suitable settings - just got a 400D a couple of weeks ago - the day before Riverfire, in fact - perfect timing!

Note - if at first you don't succeed, then maybe skydiving's not for you.... !

Nice, too, ASXU. Don't seem that dodgy to me :D

I posted a few earlier today on "Show me your 50mm f1.8 shots" - won't dump them here tho as it doesn't appear to be the thing to do.
