Thanks John,

For some reason I did not think of the "perspective" of the photo as though I was sitting down at the table to eat......I see where you would have that thought though......my "eyes" saw it as more of "side-on" shot.

I'll have to think about that on some more shots...not sure what is "right" or typically desired.

I think you've captured the overall essence of the restaurant. The waiter compliments the scene well, and the food is deliciously tempting!

I feel happier with the thought that I am going to eat the meal. The image then interacts with me.

If I feel that I am just an observer watching, or interrupting, someone enjoying their meal this makes me feel uncomfortable. Equally, I don't start salivating at the prospect of eating the meal, because I'm not about to.

That said from my viewpoint, I have no one opposite but an empty chair so I still feel like Johnny No Mates. ;)

Wonderful shot. I also like the fact you have the waiter included as well as a decent amount of restraunt.
