Still trying to get food still life to look right

CC needed very much!! With nothing for a studio set up this is somewhat difficult, but I'm trying!

I think the last 3 are good, Id not think they were bad if i saw them in a menu. The first 2 i think could improved a little. maybe a different angle on the pancakes??

I like the lighting on the 3rd one. Next to a window?

Thanks. My angles are one thing that's frustrating me! The 3rd was taken in my living room. It's about 10 feet from a picture window. I even had to clone a bit out due to my reflection.

I'm trying to do a cookbook for my family for christmas next year so I have time to perfect my photos.

Well your on the right tracks id say.

try getting in close and maybe just take a picture of the ends of the pancakes...an abstract picture. You see them in cookbooks. The whole dish isnt shown all the time!

Post more when you have them! :)
