Downy Woodpecker

I recently moved from the UK to Mass, so common birds have been quite interesting for me...so heres another one - a male Downy Woodpecker. Notice the dark spot on the white outer tail feathers and that the branch is actually actually quite small, before any of you start thinking it may be a Hairy Woodpecker! Wouldn't guess I have had this ID debate before ;)

Gorgeous... the colors, the subtle light, the perch, the feather detail are splendid, but what I really like is the slight head turn from the subject :)
