Just found this on the Canon Canada site; not sure if there are fakes on the market or what.

And shouldn't there be a smattering of "hoser" in there too?

That just about made me fall of my chair. I travel from Dallas, TX to Vancouver British Columbia and Ottawa Ontarios very frequently, and its true! I used to think that we American's were just over exagerating, but those Canadian's really do say it quite a bit.

Of course we Texans aren't in a position to make fun of other people's language use. We do a pretty good job of just inventing words down here, that only make sense to us. You can only imagine how bad I stand out when I start talking up in Canada..

Sorry to digress, back to our regularly scheduled programming.

You think their site's been hacked for four months? That's about when I bookmarked the Canon Canada site. I just followed some links and ended up there.

Yes, my grammar is slipping - sorry.;)

I spent three weeks in Nova Scotia in August/September and seldom heard "our word", but I sure learned a lot of even more odd expressions - at least to me. Ever hear of a "tore bus"? That's what tourist ride on.:D My apologies to NS.

Never been in Texas, but a few visit here (we're a tourist destination), and the Texans sure do stand out.

I grew up in Northern New York and it took me years to find out that lights were turned off instead of 'closed' ;)

Northern Ontario - four months of hard winter and eight months of good sleddin'.

I just visited that link and this is now posted:

Important Notice: Fraudulent Online Offer

Please be aware that there is a fraudulent online promotional offer suggesting Canon products can be purchased for unreasonably low prices directly from Canon. While this offer may include the Canon logo, company name and/or product images, it is in no way associated with Canon Canada Inc. or any other Canon company.
