I've researched the tripod threads and found several people recommending the Manfrotto 3021PRO. Do you think it will work for me? My current kit is below but I hope to add some other lenses (feel free to recommend some of those too!) I like to take photos of just about everything but here are some examples. All of these were taken with my G2. I should be able to do better with my 30D and the right tripod.

I drove through Zion/Bryce two years ago. It was a business trip in March and the weather wasn't great. I'm looking forward to visiting there again when I have time to hike around a bit.
