i currently have a sd600 with a 2gb memory card and a tripod. I know my camera is somewhat limited to the kind of photos it can take because it is a compact, but i was wondering if there were any accessories that i could by to take better pics?
also due to the limited settings available on the camera, what is the best way to figure out how to maximize my cameras potential with the available settings?
Would these lenses be beneficial to my camera?

I would like some honest opinions and not a debate on how this compares to a d40 or high end glass that will not fit my camera.
Thanks

I really don't have any faith in these "snap on" lenses that cost $25.00. The only accessory I can think of that may help you with your SD600 would be a slave flash, as the built in one is very weak. I think the SD600 was designed to be pretty much a stand alone camera. However there is a couple of very useful accessories that may help you get great pictures with the camera just as it is....your eye and your mind. Good luck

While I really think Canon has this flash overpriced, I bought it anyway, and I don't regret it. It's the Canon HF-DC1 slave flash for the powershot series cameras. It works great with my SD600, and my S2IS too.

There's also this one from Vivitar. I haven't used it. Vivitar swears it's great. I really dont' know. It's only about a third of the cost of the Canon.
