For some reason there was an earlier problem with various Lexar media and Canon cameras. I don't know the details but in all fairness I believe it has been resolved.

Sandisk is neither the cheapest nor the most expensive but has a good rep. And the stores in my area offer some pretty good deals on them :D .

For decent pricing you may want to look at http://www.fryes.com/ (external link) as well as amazon.com. I've purchased from both and have been very pleased.

Yes, I noticed most of you guys prefer Sandisk.

I will check and find out how much $ for 2GB Sanddisk II soon. Thank you.

Lexar 2 GB, 133x Professional High Speed Series, Compact Flash Memory Card for $46.95 after
$18.00 Mfr Rebate from Jan 14, 2007 - Feb 27, 2007

I am not sure about 133x Professional High Speed.

Also, I learned that Lexar offer lifetime warranty for replace any lexar MB Cards.

What do you think about this? Good deal?

Also, I did research at http://www.robgalbraith.com …ti_page.asp?cid=6007-6896 (external link)

Sorry, no experience with the card - warranties are always good, but make sure you have spares when doing critical work.

I've read somewhere that there were some issues with Lexar, but I can't recall where. I don't have any experience with them so I can't say for sure. I think for the most part they're a reliable brand.

When you get a chance read this...
http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=183345

I primarily use Sandisk Extremely III CF cards and Kingston Ultimate SD cards. If you're going to buy Sandisk cards be sure you get them from a reputable retailer. There are tons of fake Sandisk cards being sold by shady sellers. I ended up with two fake Sandisk SD cards (not on ebay, but through a seller on pricegrabber.com), but got my money back. I found out they were fake when I had problems shooting in high speed burst mode. I contacted Sandisk and they confirmed that the cards were fake based on the "serial number" I provided them. Sandisk is probably the most bootlegged brand out there being they're among the most popular. In my frustration I jumped ship and got a couple of Kingston cards that have performed flawlessly. However, I won't hesitate to buy real Sandisk products from reliable sellers in the future. You just have to be careful.

I have used RiData 150x pro 1GB and 4GB Cf cards with out any problems, they are quite fast. Tested speed is slightly slower than SanDisk extreme III's . Newegg (external link) has the 4GB version for $71.98 with 3 day shipping included. They also have 2GB and 4GB versions. Newegg is my vendor of choice, thier service is fantastic and get your orders shipped out fast! Highly Recomended.

Best Regards,
Logan
