Canon DC 100 Camrecorder I need help

Hello Im ne win this forum.My hubby get me a canon model DC100
it comes with it a free disc where anyone can take photos and take video
i used the free disc DVD- R 1.4Gb /30 min after i used it in my camcorder i want to play it on my computer but my problem it dont play on the computer no even recognized that there is DVD- R in my disc drive.I also try to used the DVD- RW a 60 mins 2.8 GB the size of it is 2X /1X then before i took vidoe i finalized it to video mode then take some photos same thing dotn work on my pc.can anyone help me with this problem?

How old , and what make, is your computer? What are the make and model of your DVD drive? Not all DVD drives are capable of reading all DVD disc formats; in particular DVD+ and DVD- are very different animals that older drives have trouble with. A new drive will usually be able to handle either.
