Like the light, texture and composition. Particularly like the grain! It reinforces the crackling highlights in the gash of ice. And the negative space on top creates a wonderful dynamic tension. It's particularly interesting to see that you've employed the entire monochrome palette and the dark silver forms in the background wash my eye directly to toward the struggling, even triumphant, guy who's broken his way into an early Spring. Thanks for sharing.
