Well, I made up my mind (finally). Last week I went with the Arca Swiss Monoball and was leaning towards getting the sidekick, but I decided to get the Full Gimbal instead. I also ordered four P20 plates, a P30 plate, two P5 plates and Lowepro bags for both the Monoball and Gimbal Head. This all cost more than the average L lens  Wow, thats stuffs expensive

I went with the full head over the sidekick for the simple reason that I plan on having a 500 F/4L IS or 400 F/2.8L IS or both in the next few years. I know the sidekick can handle the 500, but from the reviews I read, most people were happier with the full gimbal with the very large lenses. And another thing is, if taken care of properly, this items will last a very long time. No electronics to go out dated ;)

Rumor has it that you buy it once and you are good for a lifetime. Sounds like you are set.

You made the right choice and it will show in the quality of your photographs. That's no joke, it really will.

I'm glad you finally figured out which way to go. When does everything come in?

It's money well spent! Once you try them, you won't regret the purchases.
