I've been reading up a lot on these flash/light units, and last week, I decided to take the dive. I was pretty unhappy with a lot of my indoor shots, and since my family and friends have been asking me about portrait work, I figured it was time.
I literally tore into the boxes and set this thing up within the last half hour, and I was like a kid on Christmas morning putting this together and getting everything set up. After almost blinding myself, I took a few more shots.
Mind you, I was just messing around with a bunch of different settings to see what this was capable of. I'm spoiled by my 580EX, so this will take a little getting used to.
Needless to say, even though this isn't a good shot (compositionally or quality in general), my mind is racing with all the possibilities and freedoms this will afford in different situations. I couldn't be happier... now all I need is some portable power.
